This little family right here is pretty special to me. A few months ago I had the honour of photographing their birth story, so when they wanted to book for my lavender field mini session I was SO excited to see them again and see how much Diora had grown. The plan was to head out to South Bay Fields. A beautiful lavender field located in Nottawa. The weather had other plans though, and the session got rained out.
Flowers were a pretty key element for Lauren and this photo session. When Diora was born, all of the flowers around their property were starting to bloom. What a beautiful vision of birth and new life!
I was over the moon excited when I had found the PERFECT back up location at Sideroad farms. A local organic veggie, flower and pastured raised chicken farm run by Amy and Pat.
Amy was so welcoming and I am SO grateful to her and Pat for allowing us to frolic among their flower fields.
The evening was perfect. The sun was beautiful as it set behind the barn and flower field casting delicious light on this sweet family of three. I had the best evening with Lauren and Steve and seeing their beautiful baby girl again. I am so grateful for them and their continued support. Trusting me to freeze this moment in time for them.
